Vermont Architect Named Fellow of the Construction Specifications Institute

Jonathan M. Miller, FCSI, CCS, CCCA, SCIP, AIA, NCARB, was raised to Fellow of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) at their 50^th annual national conference in April. Fellowship is one of the two most prestigious honors given by the Institute.

CSI is a national association of construction industry members, including specifiers, architects, engineers, facility managers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers and product representatives dedicated to advance the process of creating and sustaining the built environment though construction standards. In its fifty-eight years, 366 CSI members have been elevated to Fellowship. Fellows are nominated by their colleagues and selected by a Jury of Fellows in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments in advancing construction technology, improving construction specifications, educating in the construction industry, or advancing the goals of the Institute.

Miller is the first Fellow from the Vermont Chapter of CSI, chartered in 1968.

A member of CSI for more than 15 years, Miller received its Environmental Sensitivity Award in 2002 for his work organizing the 'Green & Sustainable in Vermont' region conference at Basin Harbor Club. He was also awarded the Northeast Region CSI Distinguished Service Medal and the Joseph S. Zajchowski Dedicated Service Award from the Vermont Çhapter. He established a popular monthly series of technical seminars in Burlington for construction industry professionals. Miller, a certified specifier, certified construction administrator, and licensed architect, is a Senior Specification Consultant with Davis Langdon out of their Vergennes, Vermont office. Davis Langdon is a firm specializing in providing specification, cost management and sustainability consulting services locally, nationally and globally.
